We woke up in London, got packed up (and sent around London to get a car for 2 hours if you are dad), and hit the road. We drove 2 hours to historic Warrick for lunch, and went to the "best bakery in England" allegedly for lunch, but it wasn't a bakery, because the only bakery like thing it had was a croissant. Then we drove another 2.5 hours to Whaley Bridge (where Oscar and Nellie live), near Manchester.
We stayed 6 nights, and did fun things there, like zip lining, bush walk, sailing, swimming with inflatables, pub lunch, gaming, and visiting a historic mansion Lyme house. But my favourite was picking bilberries (basically blueberries but smaller), and blackberries and making a delicious berry and apple crumble (forage to fork!). On the second day we went to a market and bought scones, chips and chocolate. The zip lining was really good, but not as good as Lyceum.
The overall stay was really good, the only downside was that we didn't get morning tea or afternoon tea. On the last day we woke up and packed up and drove 2.5 hours to Warrick castle. I got souvenir coin #8 and also saw and explored the castle. The highlight was definitely the dungeon. The actors were scary and realistic.
Then we drove to the University town of Oxford, and went to bed after check in, dinner and dessert. When we woke up we had breakfast and explored the town of Oxford, we saw the Radcliff Camera and square, the university library and I got souvenir coin #9 I'm pretty sure.
Then we got in the car again and went to Stonehenge, where there were a bunch of photo competitions where you had to do stuff like hold or lean on or jump over Stonehenge. We also got souvenir coin #10 (I'm done counting). This was plated in 22 carat gold! on the walk from the carport to Stonehenge, me and maya played "Eye Spy" and I just kept saying "Eye spy with my little eye, something coulored green." and maya would always say "Grass.". occasionally i would say beige (dead grass).
We then drove to Windsor castle, and Maya got a toy Paddington. then we went to Windsor castle proper and went on the 3 mile walk outside the castle.
After that we drove to the airport (if you couldn't tell I hate airports) and caught a plane back to Milan (I had aa giant allergic reaction and it was terrible business class again, this time without a table, so i don't know how they are allowed to charge extra for business). Then we drove to a town close to the border of Italy, France and Switzerland (Aosta), and we stayed there for the night.
