We woke up on day 81 at Split, Croatia. We went for a walk to the old town, and then had breakfast. We went to a roman palace, and got souvenir coin #16. We saw another rubber duckie store, and Maya got one. There were all these cool ones but she chose a really small yellow one.
We found one old tower, and the description said "get a wonderful view and taking amazing pictures of the city!". It was 2 euros entry and we went up, and we couldn't even see the city because the buildings were in the way.
It was up there I found out that the we had booked recommended a tip of 90 euros per person per crew member. We also found out that due to wind, instead of leaving at Hvar, out boat was leaving at a town called Korčula. Korčula was already halfway to Dubrovnik, out destination. Mum called the place and explained that we already had accomodation in Hvar and they said they'd book us a ferry ticket to Korčula. Grandma got all panicked and said " We are going to miss all the beautiful beaches in Hvar"
We caught a ferry to Hvar (pronounced Fa-va) and walked to our resort. There were two pools a waterslide, ad a beach and buffet breakfast. We went the pool first, it was a big pool, with jets like a spar, islands and a water slide. There was also a water fall that went down to the second pool. The waterslide went in between rocks and plants down to the second pool, which had a place where you could walk behind the waterfall. There were also those things that shoot up water into the air that you can step on.
It was probably the best pool I gave been to, and one of the best hotels (the best was the one in Chamonix with the arcade in our room). Then we walked around Hvar and found a place for dinner, before going to bed.
The next morning we went to breakfast and I accidentally tried a nutella crepe. One nutella reaction, a walk, and an ice cream later, we reached a cafe called the coffee snob. There was a tip system where there was an orange floating in a jar of water, and you had to put a coin on the orange and if it stays on the orange without falling, you get a coffee for free. Mum asked how many times a day someone got a free coffee, and they said about once a week....
Then we went up yet another steep mountain to yet another fortress on top of the hill. There was a view of the tower. My grandparents went in the actual fortress and it was just an empty courtyard.
Later that day we hopped onto the ferry to Korčula. It was a 2 hour trip over open ocean, which would have taken 6 hours on our catamaran apparently.
We arrived in Korčula and got on our catamaran. We then sailed to a town for dinner and bed.
