And someone from Czechia is a Czech.

(ok airport done)

Now, we weren't in Czechia, but we were in Belize (after a quick stop in Miami).

We took another small flight to this random town and got on a boat for 45 mins to this tiny island called Ray Caye (pronounced Ray Lee). This would be home for the next 5 nights.

The island resort was surrounded by coral reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world (after the great barrier reef. There was snorkelling gear, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and sailboats, and a jetty with a waterslide into the reef and s jumping platform.

There was also a restaurant, 2 pools, and plenty of hammocks. On the first day we snorkelled and the reef and I did a jigsaw puzzle.

The dock came to life at night, as there were blue lights and they threw in fish food. .We saw lots of fish, and big ones too. Rays, specifically spotted eagle rays, barracudas, and one day we saw nurse sharks!

One day we went on a boat to these 3 island called the Silk Cayem even though one of them had sank. We got off the boat, and the water was deep, and we paddled to where the coral is, we snorkelled for about 45 mins, and we could see fish, coral, and occasional sea urchins.

But when we started swimming back to the boat, a nurse shark swam under me, and I froze. I remembered what I had read, and tried not to panic /but, as soon as I lost sight of it, I swam away screaming "Shark Shark!"

After we got onto the boat, we drove to these fishing grounds, where there was a turtle sticking its hard out. Then we got into the water, and this was the part we could see we were in a feeding frenzy with sharks and rays.

These are my three biggest fears:

Deep Water

Murky water

and the toilet on aeroplanes... To this day I make my dad flush it for me sometimes.

Anyway, I faced two of them today.

While I saw another nurse shark while kayaking, we didn't see many more sharks. There was only the other species we saw, and I wasn't convinced it was a shark.

There was a lot more we did at Ray Caye, like paddle boarding, sailing, building shelters and more, but I am going to leave it here of the sake of time.

But something I can't leave out was leaving.

We caught the boat back, and caught a plane to Belize City (and boarding passes were literally a laminated piece of yellow paper saying"boarding pass"

After arriving in Belize city, we flew to Miami airport, which had the worst immigration line I have ever been in. We caught an Uber out of the airport, to our hotel, where we would be staying the night.
