Day 1 Paris

After waking up at 5:00, I looked at the forecast and it was over 37 celsius!!! The actual hottest day of the year. We went to a bakery for breakfast that had really good pastries.

We then went to a coffee shop called The Coffee (very creative name) before doing a really long walk and, ended up at the Notre-Dame cathedral. Even though the cathedral was right outside our house, we had to do a big loop and then went there at the end, where I got souvenir coin #1.

After Notre Dame, we went on a really hot and long boat trip (it was still 38°c) before ending up at the Louvre museum. We didn’t go inside, instead we went behind it to a coffee shop where I tried croque-monsieur for the first time. It was good, or as the French say it, Très Bon!

After that we went on a really long walk to a shopping centre, before hopping on the boat again - even more long and lot AND BORING this time. We lopped off at the Eiffel tower (it was closed due to extreme heat) before having a quick dinner at a french bistro and catching an Uber home for bed.
