Chamonix and Tour de France

Day 32:

This morning we had breakfast at a fancy restaurant. Maya and I had hot chocolate that was basically just melted chocolate.

Then we drove in a tunnel under Mont Blanc. We were very lucky because we only waited 20 minutes to get in the tunnel, when usually it can take hours.

We finally made it to Chamonix (and I should probably mention at this point that it was mum's birthday). We got to our hotel and we found a free arcade. We were there for 2 hours, because mum made the check in girl cranky so she didn't let us into our room until exactly 4:00pm.

When we finally got to our room, I realised that this was the best hotel ever! We had our own hidey holes for beds and the room had an arcade. Then we went to dinner and to bed.

Day 33:

Today we woke up and drove to Morzine. We arrived in Morzine an hour later, and walked around the town for a bit, before checking into our apartment.

We then waited ages for the women's Tour de France to come through, and lucky our balcony was right above where the rode, so we didn't have to wait ages below just to get a glimpse of them.

There were downsides to this however, as people in van were throwing out an unbelievable amount of free merch, but we didn't get any as we were too high up.
