Cairo Part 2 ~ Days 100-101

Today we woke up, had breakfast, and drove to the New Egyptian Museum, with the same tour guide as our first time in Cairo. We looked at stuff in the museum.

Then we went to a famous mosque, that was designed with the same model as the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

Apparently when muslims prey, they have to pretend in the direction of Mecca in Saudia Arabia. We also had to wear blue plastic socks over our shoes inside.

After that, we went to lunch, and then the oldest church in the world, where Jesus and the Virgin Mary lived, and after that, we went to the oldest Synagogue. On the drive back, we also passed the oldest mosque.

The next day, we walked to old Cairo Museum again, and i got a Tukankhamun mask statue. We went to the airport and flew to London and we got lost, in the freezing cold outside, and we had to walk through dark tiny alleys to get to the hotel.

Dad just walked through the the airport, but we were lost because mum has a terrible sense of direction.
