Today we woke up at 230am and had to go to the airport. We flew to Aswan (to the southern part of Egypt). The people in Cairo look more middle eastern, where people hhere look more African.

We met our new tour guide and drove to the biggest man made lake in the world, lake Nasser. They did it by blocking off with a dam, with flooding the Nile. They had to relocate a lot of the Egyptian temples, otherwise they would have been flooded.

The lake its massive. 50km long, 2/3 in Egypt and 1/3 in Sudan.Whilst Egypts official language is Arabic, in Nubia (the name of this area), they speak Nubian.

Everyone tries to get you to their shop. I was walking and someone was like "look at my shop over there", someone stopped me and said "in there!" and I couldn't get past. I just glance at someone's shop whilst walking, and they said "no please, take your time, take your time".

We drove to a boat dock and everyone ran up to our car and started trying to sell stuff to us. Our guide just said to keep walking, and we managed to get to the boat. It was a small motorboat, made of wood and worn down. We caught it to a tiny island and went to a temple. We caught the boat back and then drove to the cruise ship.

It was really fancy, and way bigger than the catamaran in Croatia.

We had a relax before getting into a small sailing boat to a hotel, where we had high tea, and I got a bracelet. We then drove back to the big boat, skipped dinner and went to bed.

The next day we woke up at 4:00am and drove 4 hours (!!!!!) to ANOTHER TEMPLE, in the middle of no where.

It was called Abu Simble, and apparently it's famous? we stayed there for an hour or so looking at the statutes and figures in the temple. They also had to relocate things there, and since the temple was in a mountain, they had to relocate the whole mountain!

Then we had to drove another 4 hours (!!!!) back to the boat. That's 8 hours of driving, just to stay at a temple for 30 minutes.

If you are wondering what I did in the car, I was writing this about Giza, Cairo and Aswan...
